I am a happily married father of three. I work as a site reliability engineer, and formally doing computer science research for the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) as a civilian for 17 years. But my one of my real passions is to be a motivational speaker. I’d love to author some self help books some day. I read a lot of self help and motivational books to guide me. Checkout my reading list of books, articles, podcasts, and videos that have helped me along the way.
What got me started on this journey was actually WW (formerly Weight Watchers). WW has their own social media called Connect. I noticed people posting videos of their journeys and I thought I could do that. So I began posting motivational videos as well as reviews of books I had read to help me with my journey. One of the books I read was “You are a Badass” by Jen Sencero. This book made me realize that I had a greater calling in life and that it was to help other people.
All during my career I was envious of people who helped others as a job. I wanted to get the same kind of satisfaction that I imagined they had from their jobs. I was simply just writing computer code that really wasn’t changing the world. So when this calling came I decided to run with it and start this blog.
